Tywyn in Gwynedd is a great place to head for a self catering short break or holiday... there is so much to see and do. Click here to find out more »
Tywyn is a Victorian town on the coast of North Wales, a typically seaside place, with a promenade, putting green, leisure centre, cinema, restaurants and cafes, not to mention the beach, which is huge, sandy and great for familie, and runs all the way south the the pretty harbour village of Aberdovey. Tywyn is also home to the main station on the Tan-y-Llyn scenic railway. Aberdovey is popular with artists who are drawn to the pastel-coloured cottages and picturesque harbour, while everyone will enjoy the quaint shops, inns and seafood restaurants. There are fine beaches in Aberdovey, and the area has much in terms of swimming, sailing, watersports and fishing opportunities. Great walking and climbing complete the package this lovely area has to offer.
