Halfway between the pretty market towns of Kirkbymoorside and Pickering, the small village of Sinnington paints a lovely picture of a typical English village. The streets are lined with traditional cottages, there is a village green, and the river runs through the village; an excellent spot for a peaceful stroll and feeding the ducks! The church dates back to the 12th Century, and the traditional village inn serves good food. On the edge of the North York Moors National Park, the market towns of Pickering and Kirkbymoorside both offer plenty of amenities including weekly markets, pubs, tearooms and restaurants. Excellent walking and magnificent scenery are close by, as are the picturesque villages of Hutton le Hole and Lastingham, and both the City of York and the Yorkshire Coast are within easy reach.
