Set back from the sandy beach at Pentewan is the village of the same name. With a local shop and a traditional country pub, visitors come from far and wide to enjoy a family day out beside the sea. With an excellent coastal path, the area is popular amongst both cyclists and walkers and offers views across the bay toward Devon. Within easy driving distance are the Lost Gardens of Heligan as well as the historic and scenic Charlestown harbour and the nearby fishing village of Mevagissey – both of which provide many restaurants serving fresh fish directly from the harbour. The world famous Eden Project, with its impressive biodomes, is also within easy reach.
