Situated within a short stroll of the spectacular beach at Black Rock Sands, the pretty village of Morfa Bychan is home to a local store, a post office and an excellent, 18-hole golf course. Set on the picturesque Glaslyn Estuary, and only two miles away is the harbour town of Porthmadog which boasts a wide selection of shops and restaurants as well as the renowned Ffestiniog Railway – enabling visitors to travel by steam train through the spectacular Snowdonia scenery. Just a short drive away is the pretty village of Borth-y-Gest which boasts cliffs and coves whilst the celebrated and unique Italianate village of Portmeirion is also within easy driving distance. For those interested in history, Criccieth, Harlech and Caernarfon all offer impressive castles, and the slate caverns at Llechwedd are also worth visiting.
