Dotted with old stone cottages and nestled amidst the beautiful countryside of the North York Moors National Park, the pretty village of Fadmoor is just two and a half miles from the attractive market town of Kirbymoorside. The village offers a country inn which serves food, whilst other amenities can be found in the nearby town - a charming place with a slightly ‘old fashioned’ feel. Visitors to Kirkbymoorside will find plenty to keep them occupied in the many tea-rooms, pubs and restaurants there whilst for golf enthusiasts the town is also home to an 18-hole course. In addition there is excellent walking in the region with the magnificent scenery of the National Park and the many picturesque villages such as Hutton-le-Hole. The base of the North York Moors Steam Railway is situated in the local town of Pickering and slightly further afield, visitors can find museums, castles, trout fishing and local market towns.
