Surrounded by the spectacular scenery of wooded hills and mountains, the tiny hamlet of Bontnewydd is well placed for the wonderful Cader Idris Mountain Range and Coed Y Brenin Forest Park, which provide some of the best mountain biking in Europe. Also close by is the popular town of Dolgellau, which boasts a maze of pretty streets and a variety of shops, pubs and restaurants. This lovely town is just three miles away and offers everything a visitor might need whilst staying in the local area. The impressive peaks of Snowdonia are close by too and are excellent for enthusiastic climbers, walkers, bikers and birdwatchers whilst for those who prefer a lower altitude there are many stunning sandy beaches which are ideal for family fun.
