The small, popular and delightful village of Portreath in North Cornwall offers shops, cafes, pubs, cafes and a restaurant. The coastline is superb, with high cliffs, coves and wonderful sandy beaches. Portreath and the surrounding area are steeped in history. In the 1800's it was a major tin-exporting port, and there are still reminders of the area's history and heritage. The beautiful, market city of Truro is just fourteen miles away and has something for everyone, from a magnificent cathedral, shopping centre and restaurants to a theatre, museum, pretty gardens and lovely, cobbled streets. The popular, coastal town of St Ives is fifteen miles away from Portreath and has many shops and pubs. An excellent part of Cornwall, with Portreath a superb base at any time of the year.
