Traditional Lakeland Farmhouses dont come much prettier than this and Thwaite Bridge House would look perfectly at home on the front of a traditional box of Lakeland fudge or biscuits. Located in the Rusland Valley, Thwaite Bridge House is a mere 5 miles from Newby Bridge and only 5 miles from Hawkshead so is ideally situated for exploring this delightful part of the Southern Lakes. Rusland and surrounding villages are very quiet with little traffic although popular with walkers and cyclists. The busier resorts can be reached within minutes by car or to avoid the queues, you could take one of the world famous steamers from Lakeside, only a short way from the cottage, to Bowness Bay or Ambleside and do your own bit for the environment too.
