Description
Just over a mile from the attractive town of Penzance sitting on the shores of Mounts Bay, this cosy little ground floor annexe attached to the owners 19th century converted barn is tucked away in a tranquil setting on the outskirts of the village of Heamoor.
Set on a former flower farm, the property was originally where the anemones were stored and graded prior going to market and now offers couples a peaceful rural retreat, ideally located for exploring the countryside and coast of West Cornwall.
Approached down a long unmade drive, a gently sloping concrete path leads up to the front door which opens to a sunny entrance porch and an inner door leading directly into the small open-plan living room with solid oak flooring. With simple and fresh décor, the accommodation comprises of cottage style lounge seating, a compact dining suite and a neatly fitted galley kitchen in one corner.
Leading off to one side is the double bedroom with a fitted wardrobe and restful views. From the kitchen area at the rear, a door and one step leads up to a useful utility room with laundry facilities and a bathroom W.C. with hand basin, bath and shower cubicle.
Peacefully situated and ideal for bird watching, visitors have the sole use of a sheltered garden at the front of the property adjacent to the parking area and are also welcome to explore the owners country garden to the rear. Guests with pets are requested to supervise them at all times as the surrounding fields may contain livestock. A first floor studio is self contained and permanently occupied.
The nearby village of Heamoor, half a mile, has a general shop, bakery, pub and local bus service and the beautiful gardens of Trengwainton, Trereife and Trewidden are all within easy reach. Penzance is just a 5 minute drive away where there is a wide selection of amenities including an open air bathing pool, Cornwall’s only promenade and there are also regular sea links to the Isles of Scilly.
Newlyn, Mousehole and Marazion, home to the majestic island castle of St Michael's Mount, are all within a 15 minute drive; St Ives is 20 minutes and just 5 miles from the rugged cliffs at Zennor on the North Coast. Surrounded by outstanding natural beauty, there are a wealth of crystal clear waters and award winning beaches, ancient moorland and sub-tropical gardens, secluded coves and cliff-top walks making this a truly delightful area to visit.
