Situated at the southern tip of Lake Windermere in a semi rural location and very close to the Haverthwaite and Lakeside Steam Railway, Steam Train Cottage is within striking distance of a variety of activities and quaint Lakeland villages. The area is popular with canoeists and fishermen and being close to Grizedale Forest, the location is ideal for walkers and cyclists too. The cottage is neatly presented with 21st century styling and enjoys a delightful decked seating area giving way to lovely views of the steam railway passing by. The Swan Hotel, on the banks of the River Leven, offers great food throughout the day and is just 2 minutes stroll from the cottage. Please note that, due to the nearby railway line, we consider Steam Train Cottage suitable for only babes in arms.
