Situated in the tiny hamlet of Stanthwaite on the edge of Uldale, amidst the tranquil Caldbeck fells and close to the mighty Skiddaw, this traditional bungalow style cottage is surrounded by open fields but has the benefit of a pub and tea shop with gallery and crafts within several hundred yards. Close by you have the bustling market towns of Keswick and Cockermouth, as well as Bassenthwaite Lake and the Solway Coast. You may walk from the doorstep and enjoy the peace and quiet of this little known area of the Lake District. The cottage is well furnished and spacious yet retains a cosy atmosphere. Maes Tea Room and Gallery is 200 yards from the cottage, where you can enjoy a drink and a snack,The traditional Snooty Fox public house is only 2 minutes stroll away and the surrounding countryside of the Back o Skiddaw and the Caldbeck Fells offers a fell lovers paradise.
