Description
Situated in a tranquil part of Bellerby village opposite the Old Mill, 150 year old stone built Mill House enjoys a gentle stream trickling down besides the road to the rear and a picturesque cottage garden and patio laid with two old mill stones to the front. Bellerby is easily accessible from the A1 and enjoys the facilities of a country pub which also sells basic provisions. The cottage is very well equipped and offers cosy and welcoming holiday accommodation with every home from home comfort. Excellent footpath walks may be enjoyed direct from the door, leading past the Mill race and out into the open countryside, ensuring a perfect base for the outdoor enthusiast. The bustling market town of Leyburn is 2 miles away and provides a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants along with an outdoor market on the market square each Friday. At the top of the town, The Shawl is the perfect view point overlooking Wensleydale and is believed to have been the escape route for Mary Queen of Scots from nearby Bolton Castle and is thought to have been named after she dropped her shawl there! Lots of attractions in the surrounding area to suit all age groups include The Forbidden Corner - perfect for children and adults alike, the Teapottery, the Chocolate factory, Bolton and Middleham Castle, Constable Burton Gardens and Aysgarth Falls complete the Yorkshire Dales National Park visitor centre and spectacular waterfall walks.
