This bungalow style cottage, converted from a former byre has the benefit of all the accommodation being on the ground floor. Built out of local stone, Howes Beck enjoys a tranquil setting situated just outside the hamlet of Bampton in the Eastern Lakes and close to Haweswater. There is a pub in Bampton and a village shop/cafe, with more amenities in the market town of Penrith, approx 7 miles away there is also a pub at Bampton Grange only a 10 minute walk away. The property is situated in an elevated rural position on Bampton Common that looks across to Knipe Moor. Howes beck runs down behind the property and there is an abundance of wildlife including red squirrels and sheep.
