Coombe Cottage details
Thatched and built of stone, Coombe Cottage is a stylishly refurbished small Grade II listed cottage built in Tudor Times and retaining an inglenook fireplace and beams. It faces onto the village green with views of the hills and has a large attractive rear garden with garden furniture.
Sydling is rated as one of the prettiest small villages in Dorset with thatched cottages, chalk streams and an award-winning pub, the Greyhound. It is a good base for walking and cycling with the Wessex Ridgeway Path running through the village. In addition there are a number of historic houses and gardens nearby to visit, plus golf courses, and it is within easy reach of lovely beaches such as Ringstead Bay. Dorchester, seven miles away, has two railway stations and a range of shops, cafes, restaurants and supermarkets (including Waitrose) plus a sports centre.
