Ambleside is a year round holiday destination. Surrounded by beautiful mountain ranges, the scenery is ever changing with the seasons, from the rich colours of Autumn, to the lush green backdrop of the fells in Spring. The magnificent Fairfield Horseshoe, Loughrigg and Wansfell are easily accessed form the cottage, although ample opportunities for level walks are also available, Rothay Park being only a two minute walk from the door. Not forgetting the plentiful shops, bars and restaurants whatever time of the year you choose to visit, Ambleside has something to offer everyone and benefits from being situated in the heart of the English Lake District. Brookfield has undergone a complete renovation in recent months, the owners having carefully planned the works to ensure the best use of space and to provide accommodation and facilities of the very highest standard. Furnished and decorated in a contemporary style, the house exudes an air of light and calm, with neutral wall colours and co-ordinating furnishings throughout. The modern fittings have been successfully combined with the original features of traditional fireplaces and stone flagged floors and much use has been made of natural materials. In the heart of this popular village, Brookfield is ideally located for those who wish to explore from the door, with little use of the car.
