Set in an idyllic location in the very heart of the Troutbeck valley, Bessyboot, named after a favourite walk of the owners in the Northern Lakes, is a rather special place, just for two, somewhere to get away from it all and to spend precious time together. A walkers paradise, Troutbeck offers walks for all abilities and being only a few miles from both Ambleside and Windermere, a host of other attractions and amenities can be reached by car, public transport or foot. This traditional Lakeland hamlet retains the original post office and general store and two good country pubs are within walking distance, The Mortal Man and The Queens, both serving local ales and home cooked fayre.
