Alice Howe, (sister property to Bannerrigg and Boston House) a grade II listed property, was designed by Augustus (AWN) Pugin (1812-1852), arguably the greatest British architect, designer and writer of the 19th Century whose name is synonymous with the interior of the House of Lords and Westminster Abbey.
