The picture postcard city centre with its imposing cathedral is only a short stroll away. Wells is awash with stunning architecture the finest of which can be seen in the cathedral and adjoining moated Bishop s Palace and gardens. There is an array of individual boutique shops a deli cafes pubs restaurants and an excellent open market held on Wednesday and Saturday. Close by is Wookey Hole Caves Glastonbury Cheddar and Street (famous for the Clarks outlet shopping village a Mecca for bargain hunters and shopaholics). Slightly further afield is the historic city of Bath with its Roman and Georgian architecture Longleat House and Safari Park Stourhead House & Gardens Tyntesfiled House the East/West Somerset Steam Railway and many more attractions.
